I’ve been a juicer for many years (with hiatuses) from back in my days of working at 20 Carrots in NM. Most recently I’ve added back into my diet a fruit smoothie following my tea ritual and I have to tell you, it tops of the morning perfectly. Recently its been one banana, one kiwi, a handful of blueberries, and a teaspoon of chia seeds. I only use a teaspoon of the chia seeds because they are so powerful you really don’t need that much. If too many chia seeds are used the whole smoothie turns into a gelatin pudding that is hard to gulp down. I split the smoothie into two and share it with my man, who’s been downing them every morning when he wakes up. I make my smoothie ingredients last 4 days by buying four bananas and four kiwis and a larger box of blueberries. The store was out of blueberries for my latests food day supply so this time around it is mango, kiwi, banana with a little bit of mint.
Some may ask, what does this have to do with sound healing…I say it has lots to do with it! In my worldview, everything has a vibration, or multiple vibrations to it, and vibration is actually a form of a nutrient. We can get our nutrients many ways, for instance, vitamin D from the sun. Whole, organic, fresh foods have a healthy vibration. Look at the color of the smoothie; the drink has a happy glow, and this translates into our body mind and spirit when we consume foods like this.
Try making this smoothie for yourself! Commit to drinking one smoothie a morning for two weeks, and see how you feel as those weeks go by. There are many other smoothies to make of course, one of my favorites is celery, cilantro, lemon; this is a clearing drink that assists the body with healing ad detox when used consistently in a detox cleanse.
Also, if you don’t already have a good blender that you can make smoothies and other foods in, it is a really good buy for the kitchen. I have a Braun food processor that I keep on the counter so I can access it easily.
